Description

"There were ten items on Coke McDonald's to-do list on June 17th, but JUMP OFF A CLIFF was not one of them." Coke and Pepsi McDonald aren't thrilled about their family's summer plans. Not only does a cross-country road trip sound boring, it means they'll have to spend their thirteenth birthday in a rented RV visiting the national yo-yo museum, or the world's largest ball of twine, or some other oddball place their parents have picked out. But when strange men in bowler hats appear on the last day of school, shooting at the twins with poisoned darts and chasing them off a cliff, a quick getaway starts to sound like a pretty good idea. Turns out Coke and Pep are part of a top secret organization called the Genius Files-and someone is determined to kill them before they turn thirteen. Now it's a race against time for the McDonald twins, whose family trip has suddenly turned into a cross-country road chase. This is one summer vacation definitely worth writing a school report on-if only they can survive it! Praise for The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable: "A sure-fire hit for the most reluctant reader."-Kirkus Reviews "A quirky look at Americana that will engage curious minds. Those looking for a fun and suspenseful read similar to those from Pseudonymous Bosch will not be disappointed."-ALA Booklist "There is no shortage of humor or action.... All in all, Gutman continues to do what he does best: entertain readers."-Publishers Weekly
