Alain Laurens founded La Cabane Perch\u00e9e in 2000 with watercolor artist Daniel Dufour, who imagines and designs the tree houses, and journeyman carpenter Ghislain Andr\u00e9, who builds them with a team of carpenters and woodworkers. To date, La Cabane Perch\u00e9e has constructed nearly 350 treehouses around the world, many of which are showcased in Exceptional Treehouses and Treehouse Living.
