Author Biography

Tracey Turner has written more than 70 books, most of them for children, on subjects including inventions, the universe, famous writers, and deadly perils. She is the author of Kingfisher's How Many Mice Make an Elephant? and The Curious Book of Lists. Many of her books have sold foreign rights all over the world, and some have become bestsellers. She also commissioned and edited the Horrible Histories series for many years. Jen Khatun is an illustrator of Bangladeshi/Indian heritage, who grew up in the beautiful city of Winchester. She has published works with Bramble Kids Books, Pushkin Press, Walker Books, and exhibited at The Brighton & Hove Museum. She is inspired by natural surroundings, her favourite childhood stories, and the hidden magical moments found in everyday life.
