Description

Go on a journey through the world's rainforests, from the Amazon rainforest to Costa Rica, answering questions such as why on Earth does it rain so much? Where are there forests in the clouds? And how can a tree cure disease? Along with many others. It looks at medicines, monkeys, poisonous snakes, venomous spiders, stinky flowers, enormous trees, and much, much more. Crammed full of amazing animals and astonishing plants, geography has never been so exciting! Packed to the gills with far-out facts and fascinating information, the Where on Earth? series makes standard KS2 geography topics lively, fun, pacey and interesting.

Reviews

This colourful and picture-filled book really makes geography interesting ... plenty of fascinating facts * Parents In Touch * There are many wonderful and fantastic facts. I liked the book because it gives young people a chance to learn. I give this 8.5 out of 10. -- Frank, 11 * Evening Echo (Cork) * The book would appeal to a wide age range and I am sure that many of the excellent photos will trigger some very interesting discussions. I am sure children will be able to dip in and out of this book and then look in wonder at the amazing photographs of rain forest creatures and jungle life. The author has also managed to pack a great deal into the 32 pages. I felt that this book had a great deal to offer both the reluctant and the more advanced reader. A great addition to any class library. * The School Librarian *
