Description

Incriminated is the thrilling second book in the Emancipated trilogy, where limits are pushed, friendships are tested, and the truth has a nasty way of showing up uninvited. Now available in paperback. There's trouble in paradise. After a streak of hookups, heartbreaks, and bad decisions, the Venice Beach housemates' once-perfect lives are falling apart. One is caught in a forbidden romance with a Hollywood heartthrob, while another puts her dreams on the line for one little kiss. One harbors a dark truth that could save a life, while another's risky business puts all their lives in danger. And before they know it, the friends are fighting like family. But when an uninvited houseguest and a deadly accident entangle them in a conspiracy none of them saw coming, pulling together is the only way out. Alone, none of them can cover up their lies. Together, none of them can be trusted. Told from multiple perspectives, this gripping sequel is packed with scandal, romance, treachery, and murder. And no one else is going to clean up their messes.

Reviews

"Reyes is compact but artful with her writing, particularly with the dialogue, which naturally captures slang and diction from different cultures. The juxtaposition of rounded characters with outrageous situations gives readers just enough of a base to stand on before the story runs off with them." -- Kirkus Reviews "Lies building upon more lies further intensify the relationships and hurtle toward a cliff-hanger of an ending that will have readers dying for the next installment of this disconcerting, but always compelling, trilogy." -- Booklist "With more twists and turns than the Pacific Coast Highway, this title will appeal to older teens who enjoyed the intrigue and action of the first book. Fans will be thrilled to see how the drama goes into overdrive in the second." -- School Library Journal "The story is gripping and will involve its female readers in multiple, fast-paced guessing games before leaving them eagerly awaiting the next novel in the series." -- Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA) "I'm a huge fan of M. G. Reyes. She's an amazing talent!" -- Michael Grant, New York Times bestselling author of the Gone series "Enjoyably gossipy." -- Kirkus Reviews for EMANCIPATED "Older teens who love drama will be hooked and asking for the next book immediately." -- School Library Journal for EMANCIPATED
